Baptism, Communion and Confirmation 

Baptism is a marker of Christian Faith an is offered to infants who are part of a Christian family and adults who were never baptised as a child but have come to know the Christian faith for themselves. When the Bishop is due to visit, we invite all those who have recently been Baptised and are old enough to do so to have their faith confirmed by the Bishop at a Confirmation Service. 

At St Gabriel's we want all Baptised persons who are able to demonstrate a relationship with Jesus to be able to regularly take communion. This is why we also prepare children to receive communion before confirmation if they are able to understand it. We keep a list for the Bishop of which baptised children we have prepared to receive communion.
