Our Week of Prayer

In September 2008, we gathered for a week of prayer in our 'Tent of Meeting.  Here are some photos of what the tent looked like:

Prayer

It is one of our central values that we see prayer as the heartbeat of St Gabriel's. Prayer plays a key part of times when we meet together and sometimes we set aside time simply to pray. At the heart of our Christian faith is our relationship with God through Jesus - and just like any relationship, we need to give quality time in prayer for that relationship to grow.



Here are some of the ways in which members of the church pray ..

prayer breakfasts- these generally take place on Tuesday morning

late night prayer- The night owl's answer to prayer breakfast! We plan to meet on the third Monday of every month at 10pm in church.

personal times of prayer - many members of the church set aside time each day to read the bible and pray
prayer partners - where 2 or 3 people agree to meet and pray for one another and other wider concerns
prayer in home groups
sometimes we set aside longer times where we open the church for prayer
members of our prayer ministry team are available to pray with people after our Sunday services
Over time we hope to develop the ability to take your prayer requests on the website and include them in our prayer meetings. In the meantime, come along and join us.
