The Future?

We are seeking to work with one another to discover the plans and purposes of God for St Gabriel’s. Here are some of the possibilities that have been discussed by the church council in the past year… 

Gabe’s Urban Academy   We are looking into creating an outreach project for young people which offers training in urban arts.  

Hip Hop Youth Church  We are wondering whether God might be growing a youth congregation based around a hip hop worship culture.

Church Planting  We are considering whether the growth of the morning congregation might lead to a new church being planted in a nearby available church building.

Church Staff  The ministry of the church is enriched by the gifts of all our members – but investing in more paid members of church staff would help it to flourish further. It may be that as the church grows, we are able to resource our ministry with further staff members.

Internet Investment  Many of the people who live in our local community are young adults for whom the internet is part of their way of life. We are currently investing in this new website so that we can communicate better both with one another and with a wider world.

Technology  Our worship and communication in church has been greatly improved by a digital projection system – we hope to invest further in improving all our multi media systems.

Inside Out  We would love to invest in the outside of the church building – improving the grounds, our access, our lighting and our general appearance, as well as maintaining our clock and much more.
